"Summers Ultimate is very well balanced and trails the tractor nice. The booms are built heavy and balance up and down hilly fields nice and even." Brian and Wayne Kadlec, Adams, ND

"The Summers Ultimate is the first sprayer I've owned. After one season of use on 4000 acres I am very satisfied with both dealer and company support. We had very few problems and weed control was excellent. I fully expect the sprayer to pay for itself this year through savings of application fees and timeliness of applying chemicals." "This is the fourth Summers sprayer that we have owned. Every one was better than the previous one, but this is definitely the ULTIMATE! Great sprayer. We have done preplant burndown, crop spraying, fungicide spraying and preharvest roundup. Sprayed approximately 15,000 acres. We also have the dual boom system which is the main reason we purchased the sprayer. It paid for itself the first year. Great option - spot spraying thistles, wild oats, kochea, roundup, everything - it's just great." Curt Engelhard, Donnybrook, ND

"One of my better investments in equipment! I have owned a 60' midmount and a 90' trailer model. I love having the best features of both in one. The sprayer is very practical for our operation and the ability to raise and fold the booms for obstacles and transport is the best." Darwin Peterson, Antler, ND

"We sprayed some sloughs with Roundup to kill the weeds and quack after chisel plowing the fields. You could have placed a full glass of water on each end of the boom and you wouldn't have spilled a drop. I couldn't believe how stable the booms were. The accumulators really do a nice job of absorbing the jolts of rough ground. Very good product." James Law, Finley, ND

"We are farmers as well as commercial applicators. The farm also has a 1254 Rogator. We pull the Ultimate with a 8410 JD Track machine. We found that the 1500 gallon Ultimate could travel where the 1254 was stuck several times. The boom also has exceptional stability. The Ultimate has the capacity for a large farm." "I have sprayed along with other large sprayers and most can not believe how well the booms ride and how close I can run them to the ground without touching. I run a dual boom system using my second tank for chemicals that I spot Canadian thistle with. This option has really saved me time and helped clean up troublesome areas. This is truly a great machine to operate and own." Rick Steinert, Regan, ND

"I am a custom applicator. I previously used Patriot sprayers. I was looking for another self-propelled sprayer when I first saw the Ultimate. After looking at all sprayers I could, I am convinced the Ultimate is indeed the Ultimate Sprayer in the industry. The only thing a self-propelled has over the Ultimate is the ability to change row widths on-the-go. If any farmer buys any sprayer other than the Ultimate, Summers isn't selling its' product correctly." Jack Schmidt, Willow Lake, SD

"The money we save by doing the spraying ourselves easily makes the payment. This sprayer is a real low maintenance machine that covers a lot of acres. It just makes sense to improve my bottom line and not someone elses'." Ryan Olson, Onida, SD

"The Ultimate sprayer is really the cats' meow for spraying as far as I'm concerned. You can do anything with it that the far more expensive four wheel sprayers can do, for way less money." Bob & Doug Freije, Edmore, ND

"I farm with my father, Fred Sorenson, in the area around Ross, ND. Prior to either one of us purchasing a machine, we share our thoughts and opinions about that machine and discuss which machine will work best in our operations. In 1999, my father decided to purchase a new sprayer to replace a 1990 90' Summers field sprayer. |

We both looked at the sprayers on the market and decided to go with a 90'
Ultimate Summers sprayer. The machine was built a lot stronger than the
competition and had far better features. One impressive feature for us is the optional remote control for checking nozzles. This enables one person to easily and safely check nozzles with very little if any exposure to chemical. Another feature that is very impressive is the way the vertical boom lift and trips are tied into accumulators through the hydraulic system. By just watching a boom slowly and gently return to field position after being tripped, you can tell that there is and will always be very little stress on the boom. The accumulators also help cushion the booms while going across a rough field and they make it seem as though the boom is floating on air. The double boom option has allowed us to significantly cut chemical costs as well as enhance weed control because we can now spot some of the more expensive chemicals while applying another. Another feature we have really enjoyed is the wind screens. We spent more than two months looking at various sprayers on the market before purchasing the Ultimate. Now, after two years and 30,000 acres we are glad we purchased the Ultimate sprayer. Because of the ease of operation and trouble free operation, only one person is needed to handle all of the spraying for a season. We have had to only replace a few minor plastic brackets on the wind screens and have had to do absolutely no welding on the sprayer after 30,000 acres. Our next sprayer will definitely be another Summers Ultimate Supersprayer, that is if we can wear this one out first. Thanks for making us the finest sprayer on the market. Charlie Sorenson, Ross, ND
